Director of Economic Analysis Division
Esther Gordo was appointed Director of the Economic Analysis Division by the Council of Ministers on March 10th, 2020, upon a proposal from the President of AIReF, Cristina Herrero.
Esther holds a degree in Economics from the Complutense University of Madrid. She has developed her professional career as an economist in the Economics and Statistics Directorate of the Bank of Spain, where she has specialized in the analysis of the economic situation and policies of the Spanish economy and the rest of the EMU economies. For several years he represented the Bank of Spain in various groups of forecasting and analysis of the economic situation and public finances of the European Central Bank, the OECD and the European Commission. Since March 21st 2023, she is Vicechair of the European Network of Independent Tax Institutions (IFIs).
