María Concepción analyses and monitors economic-financial information of the Local Governments from the perspective of its adaptation to fiscal rules.
María Concepción holds a bachelor’s degree in Economic and Business Science from the University of Oviedo. She belongs to the High Service of State Comptrollers and Auditors. From 2005 to 2014, she held the position of Assistant Subdirector-General of Financial Relations with Local Governments and Head of the Financial Advisory Unit for Coordination with the Autonomous Regions of the General Secretariat of Regional and Local Coordination at the Ministry of Finance, performing supervisory and monitoring functions of the Local Governments in the field of budgetary stability and financial sustainability, along with managing the inventory of Autonomous Region bodies and monitoring the reorganisation of regional public sector processes.
