Analyst
Aroa draws up projections of the integrated and detailed system of National Accounts based on the projection of the macroeconomic outlook for its interaction with the fiscal outlook, studies alternative forecasting models, including machine learning models, monitors the projections of international bodies, and makes ex-post evaluations of the forecasts made by both AIReF and the Spanish Government.
Aroa holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) and a master’s degree in Applied Public Sector Statistics from the International Financial Training Centre (CIFF). In 2002, she joined the National Statistics Institute (INE) under an employment contract at the Sub-Directorate of National Accounts and, in 2005, joined the High Service of State Statisticians as a career civil servant. She worked at the Sub-Directorate of Labour Market National Accounts at the INE until 2014, and subsequently at the Sub-Directorate-General of Regional and Local Financing (SGFAL) of the Ministry of Finance until joining AIReF four years later.
