Nicolás González Pampillón
Quantitative Evaluation Techniques of Public Policies Analyst
Nicolás participates in the development and application of quantitative analysis methodologies and tools for evaluation projects, along with the design of information requirements, tools, and techniques to collect data related to the projects.
Nicolás holds a PhD from the University of Barcelona, a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from CEMFI and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Montevideo. He worked as a Research Economist at the What Works Centre for Local Economic Growth (WWG), which is part of the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) at the London School of Economics, providing advice on the evaluation of the impact of public policies on the British Government and undertaking evaluation projects. He has also worked as a collaborator at the consultancy firm KSNET. In addition, he worked as an analyst at the Ministry of Social Development of Uruguay and worked as a consultant for the World Bank in the development of patterns for the evaluation of urban revitalisation programmes in Latin America. He is a research associate at the Institute of Economics of Barcelona (IEB) and CEP. The fields of research interest in which he has been published in international journals include urban economics, development economics and microeconometric evaluation.
