The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) endorses the forecasts accompanying the draft 2025 budget of the Region of Murcia, which presents estimates of growth in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in volume and current terms and in employment for the years 2024 and 2025 that differ from the latest estimates of the Spanish Government’s macroeconomic scenario for the country as a whole.
Murcia estimates GDP growth in volume terms of 2.5% for 2025, which is very similar to the figure forecast by AIReF of 2.4% and falls within the range of forecasts made by other agencies for the region.
