The president of the Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) received today the Economic and Social Relevance Award from the Official Economists Association of Alicante for her contribution to the economic development of Spain and its autonomous communities. Cristina Herrero is the first person to receive this award.
The president began her speech by thanking the award to the Economists Association of Alicante, its president, Francisco Menargues, and the president of the General Council of Spain, Valentín Pich. As the president said, this award is a recognition of her professional career in the public sector, but above all it is a recognition of AIReF, for which she thanked the entire team for their daily work.
In her opinion, this award reflects the good work done by the institution, which is a benchmark on the economic scene and aims to bring rigour, independence and transparency to the world of public finances. With its objective and rigorous data, methodologies and analyses AIReF aims to provide knowledge to tackle the challenges of the future.
