The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) publishes the follow-up of the recommendations made in the second quarter of the year, in which it issued the Report on the Initial Budgets of the Public Administrations (AAPP) for 2022, completed at territorial level with the issuance of the Individual Reports for the Autonomous Communities (CCAA) and the Individual Assessment Report on the Initial Budgets of the Local Corporations (CCLL). In addition, the endorsement of the macroeconomic framework of the 2022-2025 Stability Program was issued and, subsequently, the full report on the 2022-2025 Stability Program Update (APE) was published.
In total, AIReF made 11 recommendations, of which 6 were new, 1 reiterated and 4 of those considered live recommendations. The new and reiterated recommendations were aimed at budgetary stability and strengthening the transparency of public accounts. From the addressee’s point of view, all recommendations were addressed to the Ministry of Finance and Public Function (MINHAFP) as the competent body for their implementation, although those related to the macroeconomic endorsement of the Stability Program were also addressed to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation (MINECO).
