The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) publishes the study on the public university system of Castilla y León, in which it evaluates the functioning of the system by analyzing its strategic framework, the organization of teaching and research performance.
In terms of public expenditure, an approximate figure of 454 M€ is evaluated, corresponding to the amount received by the public university system from the Junta de Castilla y León in 2022. This study identifies a number of areas whose improvement would contribute to achieving a more efficient use of this public expenditure.
